Thursday Tallulah Gorge State Park- 9:00am

Adults $5 Child $2. One of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., Tallulah Gorge is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. Visitors can hike rim trails to several overlooks to see 4 waterfalls. You can do a ½ mile hike to overlooks to see the waterfalls or if you choose a 2.5 mile hike to see them. A suspension bridge sways 80 feet above the rocky bottom, providing spectacular views of the river and waterfalls. Exhibits in the park’s Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center highlight the rich history of this Victorian resort town. An award-winning film takes viewers on a dramatic journey through the gorge, including footage of rock climbers and kayakers. A gift shop offers snacks, jewelry, toys, books, walking sticks, clothing and more. If you choose not to do any hiking the Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center is a neat place to visit, along with the gift shop while others hike! You will need to pack a lunch, they have picnic areas as well. In the event of rain, we could still visit the Jane Hurt Interpretive Center.

Note: All Loreley sponsored activities take place at or leave from the Clubhouse unless otherwise specified. Scheduled activities are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or if minimum participation is not met. Check your house phone for messages.
